Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation, also known as "20th Century Fox", or simply as "Fox", is an American film studio that is the distributor of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Shock Treatment, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do the Time Warp Again

Throughout the years, films made under the banner of 20th Century Fox opened with a familiar fanfare of drums and trumpets. For The Rocky Horror Picture Show, the fanfare was changed to a campier piano version, unique to the film.

Initial concerns with the film led the studio to provide a minimum of marketing for the original release, and left the film in the care of a small team led by Fox's young marketing exec, Tim Deegan, who saw the prospect of Rocky Horror being a cult film, even before its release. When the initial distribution was dismal, the film was kept alive by limited releases in Los Angeles and various markets across the U.S. An eventual test run in New York at The Waverly Theater in Greenwich Village, that proved successful and soon elevated The Rocky Horror Picture Show to a happening that evolved into the biggest cult film in history.
