Count Ian Blair

Count Ian Blair (aka Iain Blair} is an English guitarist and writer who became involved with the original London Cast version of The Rocky Horror Show while he was employed as guitarist in a London rock musical called "Mother Earth." His friend, keyboardist and arranger Richard Hartley, was also in the show. In 1973, Hartley asked Blair to sing backing vocals on the song demo tape for Richard O'Brien's musical play in 1973. Blair played guitar in the original four-piece stage band at the Theater Upstairs, played on the Original London Cast Soundtrack Album, and was played lead guitar on The Rocky Horror Picture Show Original Soundtrack Album (with Procol Harum's Mick Grabham on rhythm guitar).
