The Lorenzo Theatre is a now closed classic art-deco theatre. It was built by United Artists and opened in 1947. The 700 seat theatre was the first in Northern California to have painted murals which glowed in black light; the painter was Anthony Heinsbergen, the renowned muralist. He depicted black panthers in a colourful jungle.

The Lorenzo is located at 16080 Hesperian Blvd, San Lorenzo, CA.

Rocky Horror began showing at the Lorenzo when it changed management in 1979. The new Manager, Dan Tocchini Jr, renovated the Lorenzo and re-opened it on 1 Nov 1979. The first showing of Rocky at the Lorenzo was the following night.

At the beginning Rocky was shown on both Friday and Saturday nights. In March 1980, the Friday night showings were cancelled, with the exception of a special showing on 4 Apr featuring Double Feature/Celluloid Jam.

The Lorenzo closed again in 1982 due to a lease dispute with United Artists.
