Ruby Wax, OBE (born Ruby Wachs, 19 April 1953) is an American actress with dual British Citizenship, known for playing Betty Hapschatt aka Betty Munroe Hapschatt in the film Shock Treatment.
Multi-talented Wax is known for her comedic appearances in programs like Absolutely Fabulous and Girls On Top, though she also has a tandem (and more serious) career as an author of Self Help books and speaker on the subject of Mental Health.
