Say It! The Rocky Horror Picture Show Audience Participation Album was released by Ode Sounds and Visuals as a double album late in 1983. The double LP contains the entire audio of The Rocky Horror Picture Show along with the call-backs, as performed by the cast of the legendary 8th Street Playhouse from New York City. The recording was originally set to be done at the Tiffany Theater in West Hollywood, CA, though its abrupt closing in March of that year resulted in a venue change.

On Halloween 1983, there was a special promotional event held for the release at the Roxy Theatre; The Rocky Horror Picture Show Halloween Audience Par-Tic-I-Pation! Midnight Screening hosted by Rocky Horror Elder Sal Piro, President of The Rocky Horror Picture Show Official Fan Club.

The album was re-issued on CD and Cassette at the time of the 15th Anniversary in 1990, and again, on CD only as part of The Rocky Horror Collection in 1997. Although the audience callbacks are forever evolving, The Audience Participation Album (as it is commonly called) gives a historical perspective to the early "script" as it existed at that point in time.
