Miscellaneous

University Theater opened up as University I and II by the Nace Corporation in 1971. Independent duplex style theater with two large auditoriums seating 400 and 600 patrons respectively. Ownership changed in the 1980's, and the theater was converted into one of the first and subsequently most successful "dollar houses" in the U.S.

Due to the changing movie theater business/landscape, the theater closed in the mid 1990's.
