Based in the U.S., the Official Fan Club has been in existence since 1977, with Sal Piro serving as the President. In the early years (long before the internet made information immediately available) The Fan Club had a newsletter called The Transylvanian, which included contributions from various members. Members who joined received an individually numbered membership card, a custom badge, and updates on Rocky Horror happenings.
As time went on, the cards became available online for no charge, though each one is numbered 4711.
