Charles Atlas (October 30, 1892 – December 24, 1972) was an American bodybuilder best remembered as the developer of "Dynamic Tension", a bodybuilding method and its associated exercise program which spawned a landmark advertising campaign featuring his name and likeness.
He is the inspiration for the "Charles Atlas Song" and "Charles Atlas Song (Reprise)".
