Although the opening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show features the lips of Patricia Quinn singing "Science Fiction, Double Feature", the iconic image of The Lips from the promotional posters and newspaper advertising were provided by model Lorelei Shark.

Lorelei Shark worked as a spokesmodel in print and commercials for Chicago radio station WLUP 98FM "The Loop", which focussed on her bright red lips. She had also appeared on the television show Playboy After Dark, and was a special guest at the infamous "Disco Demolition Night" at Comiskey Park in 1979.
We asked in an interview about the Rocky Horror poster, Shark saidYes, I am those famous biting lips in the "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" poster. I received $120 for two hours modeling ($60 an hour at the time).
I recently found and framed a Rocky Horror Picture Show poster that says "A Different Set of Jaws" Seeing as my name is now, Lorelei SHARK - I couldn't resist the double entendre."
