The Great Shadow Cast-Off Of 2020, also known as "Rocky’s COVID Crack-Up", "Revenge Of The Young Queens", "Rocky Newbies Show Their Heels", "Rocky Goes Full Karen", and "The COVID Generation Coup", were a series of events that took place in the Rocky Horror "community" during the end of June 2020.
Overview
A long-time cast leader quit, and many Rocky Horror shadowcast members, believing that they were chosen by Loretta, started to vie, rather aggressively, for the non-existent position of "#1 King/Queen Shit of Rocky Horror". An atmosphere of fear and paranoia pervaded the Rocky Horror 'community", augmented by lies, unsubstantiated claims, false accusations, finger-pointing, character assassination, smears, cruelty, and insults. Some people's lives were ruined. Friendships ended, and old friends became enemies. It is considered to one of the most unfortunate events in the history of the Rocky Horror "community".
