The Great Shadow Cast-Off Of 2020, also known as "Rocky’s COVID Crack-Up", "Rocky Newbies Show Their Heels", "Revenge Of The Young Queens", "Rocky Goes Full Karen", and "The COVID Generation Coup", were a series of events that took place in the so-called Rocky Horror "community" during the end of June 2020.
Overview
In June 2020, during the height of the worldwide COVID-19 Pandemic, a long-time cast leader resigned from their long-time position. Seeking to expand their power and influence over others, many other self-appointed, ambitious, and delusional Rocky Horror shadowcast members, many believing that they were chosen by Loretta, began to vie for the exalted, yet non-existent position of "#1 King/Queen Shit of Rocky Horror". Long-time rivalries that had been simmering for years finally reached critical mass. An atmosphere of fear, mass hysteria, hostility, and paranoia gripped the so-called Rocky Horror "community".
