Although the opening sequence of The Rocky Horror Picture Show features the lips of Patricia Quinn singing "Science Fiction, Double Feature", the iconic image of The Lips from the promotional posters, newspaper advertising, and other materials were provided by model Lorelei Shark.
Shark's lips appear on most Officially Licensed Merchandise for ''The Rocky Horror Picture Show'' including the original A Different Set of Jaws one-sheet.
Lorelei Shark started her career as an assistant at Dick Clark Productions, and later worked as a spokesmodel in print and commercials for Chicago radio station WLUP 98FM "The Loop", which focused on her bright red lips. She had also appeared on the television show Playboy After Dark, as an extra on Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In, and was a special guest at the infamous "Disco Demolition Night" at Comiskey Park in 1979.
When asked in an interview about the Rocky Horror poster, Shark said:
"Yes, I am those famous biting lips in the The Rocky Horror Picture Show poster. I received $120 for two hours modeling ($60 an hour at the time).
I recently found and framed a Rocky Horror Picture Show poster that says 'A Different Set of Jaws'. Seeing as my name is now, Lorelei SHARK - I couldn't resist the double entendre."
Shark currently lives in the Los Angeles area and dedicates her time to charitable causes.

The Lips are occasionally flipped horizontally backwards
