In 1970, Adler struck a distribution deal with A&M Records that lasted until 1976. Following that, Ode was distributed by CBS until 1978. In 1981, the Shock Treatment Soundtrack was released and distributed by Warner Brothers.
In 1989, Adler once again brought his material to A&M, with the expanded title "Ode Sounds and Visuals." Adler retained the rights to Rocky Horror and Shock Treatment, which both had releases via Rhino in 1990.
