The Transylvanian was the newsletter created and distributed by The Rocky Horror Picture Show Official Fan Club beginning in 1977.
The initial editions were simple and grass-roots looking on white stock with black type and line art, and low quality graphics. As the club rapidly grew, the newsletter added higher quality printing and photographs.Sal Piro and other early members of the New York cast were the main contributors. Early illustrations by Dori Hartley were also seen in the pages.
