Costuming
Mina began making her own costumes in 1988, which led to making costumes for her friends on the cast. When she started her own cast at the River Oaks Theatre in 1992 she made a set of costumes for the cast. She left for college and returned in 1998 to start (and costume) another cast - The Beautiful Creatures (I). As the internet expanded in the late 90's she offered her costumes for sale online. She became overextended in 2001 which led to a hiatus until she returned to the scene in 2006. In 2009 she began a blog, Columbia's Closet, to illustrate her techniques and research. She was the 2011 recipient of The Boss Award for her informational website. In 2013 she began to shift her sewing endeavors to historical costuming and was no longer taking Rocky Horror (or reproduction) commissions. She continues to maintain her blog and sell accessories at conventions.
