The event was the red-carpet premiere for The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do the Time Warp Again with much of the new film's cast in attendance. Members of The Press plus 100 invited fans from local casts (past and present) were invited to watch the film at the Roxy Theater, where The Rocky Horror Show was first imported to the U.S. by producer Lou Adler in 1974.
Attendees were given special laminates, boxes of popcorn and water-bottles with the new film's logo. There was also a prop box, which included a special newspaper with articles specific to the remake.
The film was introduced by Lou Adler, followed by Sal Piro, who led the audience in the "Rocky Cheer", and reminded everyone in the theater that they were once again Rocky Horror Virgins.
The film was shown sans-commercials, and was received enthusiastically by the crowd. Immediately following the movie was a live band, fronted by Cisco Adler, with Reeve Carney leading a sing-along of "The Time Warp," flanked by Ryan McCartan and Staz Nair. Audience members were allowed on stage to join in the number, which was followed by a rousing sing-along of "Sweet Transvestite" with Rocky Horror Elder Troy Martin taking the lead.
Much of the cast remained and mingled with the audience for the remainder of the event.
